Screening Interview:

At present, there are no medical tests that can diagnose autism. Instead, knowledgeable  physicians and psychologists administer autism-specific behavioural evaluations. ASAP uses the following paraprofessionals for this.

We found that parents are often the first to notice that their child is showing unusual behaviours such as failing to make eye contact, not responding to his or her name or playing with toys in unusual, repetitive ways.

By experience, we know that parents may trust their instincts and we start the process by doing a unique screening interview with the parents as well as do a 2-3 hour long observation of their child in order to find a suitable programme or treatment facility that is appropriate to  their child's needs. We refer the parents to qualified specialists for a formal diagnosis.
